Research has shown that the UK lags behind other countries in the extent to which women are business leaders. In 2006 it was estimated that a further 750,000 businesses would have been operating if the UK had the same percentage of business women as America. This is a striking difference! One that is made all the more intriguing because research has also shown that women are more likely to succeed in a business start-up than men. To help bridge the gap, Vantage Business Consulting works with a number of other organisations to make it easier for women to succeed in business. Firstly, some people find it easier to talk to a female adviser - so speak to Suzy ... but Jonathan is a nice guy too!
